What this site collects directly
This site is a static website. It has no user accounts, no comment system, no newsletter signup and no contact form. We therefore do not ask you for, and do not store, names, addresses, phone numbers or payment details.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use that only to answer you and to action a correction, and we do not add you to any marketing list.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard technical request data, which typically includes an IP address, the requested URL, a timestamp, referring page, and browser or device information. This data is used to keep the site available, secure and fast, and to detect abuse. It is retained for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site itself sets no cookies for its own features. Cookies may nevertheless be set by third-party services that appear on pages, most notably advertising and analytics. Where required by law, a consent mechanism is presented before non-essential cookies are set, and you can withdraw consent at any time through that mechanism or through your browser settings.

Guides link to official embassy, consulate, immigration and visa application centre websites so that you can verify requirements at source. Those sites are operated by third parties with their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
Legal bases and your rights
Where data protection rules such as the GDPR apply, we rely on legitimate interests for security and aggregate analytics, and on consent for non-essential cookies and personalised advertising. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. Children
This site is intended for adults preparing travel documents. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Email correspondence is kept while it is needed to handle the request and to record any resulting correction. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operational purposes. The site is delivered over HTTPS, and access to any tooling used to publish it is restricted.
International transfers
